Exactly, that’s how it is. I once even got yelled at when I for once thought I could open up and tell the truth how I feel. Like I offended the person by saying that I just have energy to go to work. And on days when I really have no choice but buying groceries because nothing else is in the fridge I sometimes don’t have enough strength to bring the groceries into the house but leave them in the car. Even in summer. With a broken leg people would offer to shop for you.
My experience is sympathy and gifts are typically only given for acute physical health issues. Chronic physical health experiences are more like mental health.
